Splendid 18th century sculpted walnut double door, Avignon. This main entrance door of an 18th c. town-house is situated in the historic city; In spite of the popes returning to Rome in the late 14th c. Avignon remained the residence of the Italian Papal legates for nearly four hundred years until the French revolution.
